Event coordinators were drowning in manual work, using emails and spreadsheets to manage group travel, leading to massive inefficiencies and errors.
THE SOLUTION
As a sole designer of the team, I led the design of "Specialty Desk," an enterprise platform that automates complex travel booking, starting with group events and scaling to handle diverse needs like new hire and candidate travel.

With a deep understanding of the manual chaos our admins faced, we synthesized our research into a single focusing question to guide our explorations:
How Might We empower administrators with a simple,
self-serve tool that is flexible enough to match their real-world, asynchronous workflow?
This question forced us to prioritize flexibility and user control over simply digitizing the existing linear process. It became the benchmark against which we evaluated the following three architectural directions.
